Clay target shooting is the sport of marksmanship in which competitors try to break airborne clay disks by firing at them with a shotgun.
Lake County Sharp Shooters started with current coach and facilitator Jake Farber in 2024.
The League is an extracurricular co-ed and adaptive activity for safety-certified student athletes in grades 6 through 12 on school-approved teams and must possess a league approved firearm education certificate.
Students are NOT required to submit firearm safety certification at the time of registration. Registered athletes are REQUIRED to submit firearm safety certification information in their Athlete Management System (AMS) BEFORE the athlete can participate in any shooting activities with the team.
